Job Description Overview Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant travel assignment in a long-term care setting located in Bangs, Texas, United States. Start date: 06/15/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Responsibilities - Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, including assessment, treatment planning, and re-evaluation. - Implement and adapt therapy interventions to improve activities of daily living, motor function, cognition, and mobility for residents.- Document evaluations, progress notes, goals, and discharge plans in a clear, timely, and compliant manner. - Collaborate with OT teammates, physical therapy staff, nursing, and case management to coordinate care and support discharge planning. - Ensure resident safety and infection control during therapy sessions; monitor for adverse responses and report changes promptly.- Educate residents and families on therapy plans, home exercise programs, and strategies to maintain progress after discharge.
Requirements - Active or eligible Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential and ability to practice in Texas - Experience providing therapy services in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is preferred - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with interdisciplinary teams- Ability to manage an active caseload, document accurately, and follow facility policies - Availability to start on 06/15/2026 and complete a 13-week assignment - Willingness to work a daytime schedule in a residential care environment
