Transportation Technical Lead - Akron, OH - JOB (phone number removed)

Salary Range: $85K - $130K Permanent Position with Benefits

Transportation Technical Lead to plan and coordinate projects, serve as a senior technical advisor on projects of particular complexity, assist the project manager, and serve as the technical lead and main point of contact with clients, as needed.

TRAVEL:

Travel is primarily local during the business day.

Must have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company’s standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field

8+ years of experience

Experience in trail and/or multi-modal transportation, or the motivation to learn this specialty, is required

Understanding of plan production, design grade, task management, schedule, and budget management

Willingness to train, mentor, and lead individuals within the department

PE, PLA/RLA, AICP, or other relevant certifications are preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other industry-based software

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Projects may include trails, roadways, sidewalks, green and complete streets, and active transportation projects for ODOT, LPA, and Non-LPA clients throughout the state of Ohio.

Train, lead and mentor the company's planning, design, engineering technical, and construction associates.

Present as the subject matter expert for specialized areas.

Provide oversight related to the scope, schedule, and budget for assessment, planning, design, and capital improvement projects.

Perform and administer complex planning, design, and engineering work – requiring exceptional professional training and experience.

Perform long-term budget and capacity planning.

Develop, implement, and maintain planning, design, and engineering standards, including standard specifications and drawings.
