Salary Range: $28.00 - $32.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits

Akron, Ohio area Engineering Firm seeks an experienced Construction Inspector who will provide pre-construction services, construction oversight, construction administration, resolves disputes, audits quality, documentation and maintains solid communications between the parties.

REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology and/or Higher Level of Education with a minimum of (2) years of hands-on Construction Inspection experience.

Preferred Candidates would have ODOT experience to include the following training and certifications: ACI Level I, Flexible Pavement Training, and Ohio Aggregate Level I; National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Highway Construction Level II.

Candidates would enter data entry into ODOT's CMS/SITE MANAGER system or local documentation equivalent as directed by the project engineer or LPA person in charge.

Candidates are expected to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals; notifying the contractor of non- conforming work; preparing and maintaining project records and reports.

Candidates must have excellent computer knowledge, verbal, written and communication and documentation skills.

 

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
