Job Title: Medical Imaging Technologist/ Radiology Technologist

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 3 months with possible extension.

Pay range - $60 - $65/hr.

We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.

Schedule Notes:

Work Hours: 40 hours per week (4x10-hour shifts)

Shift Timing: 12:30 PM 11:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Medical Imaging Technologist, reporting to the Medical Director, Section Head, Manager, and Radiologist, is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols as per NY State Department of Health Code Part 16. The role emphasizes safe imaging practices, patient experience, and continuous learning in evolving imaging technologies.

Responsibilities:

Operate imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images

Adhere to radiation safety standards and NY State regulations

Assist in clinical evaluation and patient care

Maintain imaging competencies and follow hospital/department policies

Provide age-appropriate patient care and ensure a safe, comfortable experience

Support teaching efforts and adapt to technology advancements

Skills & Requirements:

ARRT Certification (Required upon hire)

New York State Radiologic Technologist Registration or Limited Permit (Required upon hire)

BLS Certification (American Heart Association Required upon hire)

Education:

Associate Degree in Applied Science (Required)

Diploma in X-Ray or graduation from an approved imaging program (Required)

Experience: 2 years preferred

Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Must be able to safely operate radiologic equipment and assist with patient mobility as needed
