Our warm-water swim facility at 1770 Central Ave in Colonie provides the perfect setting for fostering confidence and skill in swimmers of all ages. Position Summary As a Swim Instructor, you’ll play a vital role in helping children (ages 3-13) and adults master essential swimming skills using Excel’s proven curriculum. Whether you’re teaching beginners or helping more advanced swimmers refine their technique, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact while working in a welcoming and flexible environment. Key Responsibilities Teach swim lessons to children and adults following Excel’s established curriculum. Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all participants. Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to help swimmers build confidence and skills. Work collaboratively with other instructors and lifeguards to maintain a smooth schedule. Be punctual and professional during all shifts. Required Skills and Qualifications At least 1 year of experience teaching swim lessons or related aquatic instruction. Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members. A friendly, patient, and positive attitude.
