What You'll Do: Assemble panels and borders according to established work instructions using various sewing machines (e.g., double overcaster, Brother quilter, serger) Sew borders to panel cloth and produce mattress and box spring covers Overcast edges of quilting border material rollsRead production tickets, gather required materials, and document work accurately Operate sewing machines using foot pedals and hand controls Move finished product, replace empty carts, and retrieve full carts of materials Sort, fold, and stack covers, borders, and panels as needed Accurately record sizes and complete required production documentationHow You'll Do It: Perform basic machine maintenance (rethreading, needle changes, etc.) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation Use measuring tools (ruler) and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions) to ensure quality and accuracy What You'll Bring: Must be 18 years or olderHigh school diploma or GED preferred Prior sewing experience in a textile or manufacturing environment is preferred Experience using industrial sewing equipment is a plus Wages&Shift Hours: $21.00/hour (base pay) +$2.00/hour second shift differential The shift hours are 3:30pm-12:00am Why work at Serta Simmons Bedding?
