Head Cross Country and Track&Field Coach, Albany

Job Description:

Position:

12 month, full-time administrative position reporting to the Director of Athletics. Supervises the following employees: Assistant Cross Country/Track and Field coach(es) and student workers for game management.

Duties:

Oversight for all phases of the Cross Country and Track and field program. Primary responsibilities include attracting, recruiting and retaining student-athletes who fit the educational mission of Russell Sage College.

Specific coaching responsibilities include: Practice and Meet preparation Game day management (facilities/team needs), coaching and travel Build and establish team culture that embraces competition, hard work, growth mindset and promotes equity, respect and dignity for all athletes Recruitment efforts including travel, written and verbal communication and scoutingPlanning and maintaining team budget Supervision of support staff Training, practice development and organization Compliance with NCAA and conference legislation Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics The estimated salary is $62,353 per year for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Previous college playing and/or coaching experience required Highly organized individual with strong writing and verbal skills Experience in recruiting preferred Demonstrated commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy Additional Information:
