Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Amarillo, TX
Job Type: FTE/Permanent
Shifts: 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 10PM to 6:30AM.
Job Summary:
The primary function of this role is to lead and support the maintenance team on 3rd shift, including electrical, mechanical, utility, and facilities maintenance. This position represents the operational side of the business through its growth. With responsibility to oversee the maintenance department, you are gaining experience to move into increasingly dynamic and strategic roles within the company.
In this role you will:
Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians to organize, plan, and monitor the repair, replacement, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of foundry and machining-related equipment.
Organize and support the maintenance department in maintenance and repairs of various types of production equipment, facility maintenance, critical spares, upgrades, and projects including managing outside contractors and quoting.
Maintain and manage preventative maintenance plans for equipment and facilities activities.
Manage capital and expense projects for equipment upgrades and improvements.
Plan and direct scheduled or unplanned maintenance activities and establish maintenance priorities in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
Review and analyze maintenance metrics and operational reports to determine causes of equipment failure and reliability.
Establish and maintain staffing and required training/development to ensure support of the operations.
Ensure compliance and maintain local plant policies and practice requirements to all mandatory environmental and safety regulations.
Actively participate in lean/5S/continuous improvement activities related to the facility as needed.
Work cross-functionally to support customers and assure equipment uptime.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering.
Prior maintenance and leading maintenance technicians experience.
Experience in maintenance reliability programs (vibration, ultrasonic, IR, lubrication).
Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Preventative Maintenance Development (PMD) experience.
Ability to track maintenance metrics (downtime, MTTR, MTBR).
Position Criteria:
Ability to stand and/or walk for 8–10 hours and to lift 50 pounds.
Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data.
Ability to follow all safety regulations.
Understanding of procedures related to lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and fall protection.
Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime.
Ability to perform basic computer functions: use SAP, eSafety, MESH Prism, CMMS.
