Maintenance Specialist, Sherman

Responsibilities and Duties:Facility Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all buildings and grounds, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and in compliance with safety regulations.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and construction projects with external vendors as needed.Grounds Management: Maintain and enhance the appearance of all outdoor spaces, including landscaping, irrigation systems, parking areas, and walkways.
Manage contracts with external vendors for landscaping and snow removal services.Safety and Security: Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, indivisuals, and visitors.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential hazards.
Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and protocols.Budgeting and Resource Management: Manage the annual budget for buildings and grounds expenses, including but not limited to maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and equipment.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.Requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree in facilities management or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in a similar role.Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and qualifications.
