Job Title

This is a developmental position; duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity at the GS-04 grade level. At the full performance, GS-06, the incumbent will: Perform installation access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirement as a guide to access determination for a wide range of unique circumstances.Serve as the initial point of contact for the installation's various visitors, provides answers to questions, determines whether appropriate need for access exists, and provides assistance as required. Operate and perform research queries on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) workstation terminal(s) in accordance with federal and state laws.Provide authoritative guidance and information on security regulations and procedures, exercising sound judgment and discretion in response to telephone and in-person security inquiries.
