Communication Specialist I Hiring Range $29.55 to $39.40 Communication Specialist II Hiring Range $33.84 to $45.11 Summary of Job Responsibilities: The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Communication Specialist I, II is responsible for preparing and disseminating external and internal communications across all mediums and implementing communication strategies. The Communication Specialist I, II is responsible for developing print and online content, announcements, scripts, talking points, communication plans, and other communications to ensure consistent and professional messaging in alignment with SCF's brand strategy.Qualifications: SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, English, communication, or related area; OR equivalent combination of work experience plus education; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Communications Coordinator II or Marketing Coordinator II at SCF. Additional Qualifications for Communication Specialist II:Two (2) years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing; OR demonstrated proficiency in the Communication Specialist I position at SCF. Native Preference: Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training.
