Location: Fairbanks, AK
Pay: $75,000–$85,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts
TDL Staffing is seeking a skilled and detail-focused Assistant Controller to support core accounting and financial processes for a well-established Fairbanks organization.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to payroll, accounts payable, and financial record management while working in a structured, professional environment.
This role is best suited for someone with a strong accounting background who is comfortable managing a team, overseeing multiple financial functions, maintaining accuracy across systems, and supporting consistent, compliant financial operations.
Core Responsibilities Payroll & Reporting Manage weekly payroll processing, including tax-related functions and required reporting
Maintain accurate payroll records and support ongoing documentation and communication
Accounts Payable & Financial Processing Review and process invoices and payment requests
Maintain organized financial records and support daily accounting functions
Employee & Administrative Support Assist with onboarding documentation and employee record tracking
Collect and process timecards and related payroll inputs
General Accounting Support Contribute to job costing support and financial data tracking
Participate in meetings, training, and process improvements as needed
What We're Looking For Strong foundation in accounting principles, including payroll and accounts payable
High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities
Professional communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment
Adaptable and open to learning new systems and processes
Minimum Requirements Accounting-based degree required
Strong background in accounting required
Valid driver's license
