Job Description:
As a Mobile Developer, you will support the development and maintenance of the Android app. This role requires a strong understanding of Android native development, user interface best practices, and modern software development workflows. The ideal candidate will be capable of contributing independently while collaborating within a team environment and should be prepared for future onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain features within the Android mobile application.
• Follow Android UI design standards and apply best practices for user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using Android SDK.
• Implement asynchronous programming techniques to ensure responsive app performance.
• Participate in regular code reviews and Git-based version control workflows.
• Contribute to feature planning, bug fixing, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, product management, and UX.
• Assist with application testing and deployment activities.
• Document technical designs and participate in Agile ceremonies as required.
• Support ongoing enhancements and respond to user feedback or production issues.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
• 2+ years of experience developing native Android applications using Android SDK.
• Familiarity with Android UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming concepts.
• Proficiency with Git for version control in collaborative development environments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a development team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of socket programming is a plus.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Local candidates preferred due to expected onsite requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
