MIG Welder

This role focuses on MIG welding mild steel components of varying thicknesses used in conveyor systems for OEMs and suppliers. You will perform high-quality welds, set up and adjust welding equipment, and contribute to the fabrication of reliable conveyor system components in an industrial fabrication shop environment.Job Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on various thicknesses of mild steel for conveyor system components Set up and adjust MIG welding machinery to the proper temperatures and parameters for each job Produce consistent, structurally sound welds that meet quality and safety standards Interpret and follow blueprints to complete welding tasks accuratelyWork with conveyor system parts and assemblies to ensure proper fit and finish Inspect welds and materials for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs Collaborate with fabrication team members to meet production goals and deadlines Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience performing MIG welding on steelAt least 1 year of experience welding mild steel Proficiency in MIG welding techniques on various material thicknesses Ability to set up MIG welding machinery, including selecting appropriate temperatures and settings Ability to read and follow blueprints for welding tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality weldsJob Type&Location This is a permanent position based out of Wixom, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
