We are looking for an Assembly Operator III to join our team. This position will be a full-time contract and on-site in Fairview, North Carolina.
Weekend work only: Friday-Saturday-Sunday
12-hour shift
7am-7pm
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for the safe operation of assigned high-speed large-scale automated assembly machines
Make complex repairs and major adjustments to assembly equipment, including set-ups and changeovers
Perform quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP) and document specified measurements per print at required intervals
Conduct daily/weekly/monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance
Perform tooling adjustment, such as sharpening/conditioning, checking height of spring-loaded pins, keying features, bend stations, insertion stations
Replace sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.
Adjust housing feed based on associated standards
Use height indicator, ram optic, gauges, and microscopic visual checks
Identify and re-set machine faults, clear jams, restart production, and remove and package finished products

High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum of 2 years of combined job-related vocational training and relevant work experience
Requires judgment and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks
Preferred:
May require external certification in some disciplines
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Regularly required to wear steel toe shoes
