Job description:

Develop copper product components for Category 5E/6/6A/8 structured cabling market. Perform RF simulations to evaluate performance of copper product prototypes. Validate simulations with test and measurement using VNA, S-parameters, TDR, etc. Create PCB layouts and board designs for manufacturability.Provide input on other copper components including contact arrays and IDCs. Collaborate with mechanical engineers for electromechanical design. Architect cost-efficient designs for manufacturability. Support product entry into manufacturing. Develop intellectual property and submit IP disclosures to Patent Attorney.Use HFSS, Designer, and other EM CAD methods to make the design process more efficient and effective. Interact with relevant standards bodies such as TIA and IEEE to drive new and emerging technologies. Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, components, products, or systems compliant with industry standards.Support customer and R&D projects with a focus on materials and components for manufacturability. Develop, prepare, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and subsystems. Prepare detailed schematic designs and PCB layouts. End-to-end validation of fiber optic assemblies for high-reliability electrical and communication systems.Lead installation, splicing, and end-to-end validation of fiber optic assemblies for high-reliability electrical and communication systems. Promote service excellence and quality. Provide excellent service to customers; build strong relationships and team cohesiveness; focus on quality and positive solutions; communicate respectfully; demonstrate compassion and understanding in response to customer requests/needs.Champion mission, vision, and values; comply with policies and procedures, ethical standards, and Code of Conduct. Supervise the Test and Measurement Engineer. Exercise appropriate judgment regarding various projects as assigned. Comply with internal pricing guides and all applicable laws and regulations, including ISO and SOX.Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field and 5+ years experience. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and HTML. Experience with RF simulation and optimization tools. Experience designing in an engineering environment and with PC-based schematic capture and development software.Capable of RF tuning to meet performance specifications. Strong understanding of RF design principles and active and passive components. Must have S-parameter measurement and calibration techniques. Hands-on experience performing S-parameter measurements. Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.Ability to rapidly prototype new ideas and concepts. Ability to drive several projects to completion simultaneously with minimal supervision. Strong understanding of filters, antennas, transmission lines, and general RF hardware. Experience with networking protocols TCP/IP. Ability to plan, layout, and execute complex work programs, functions, and operations.Data Center hardware (Cabinets, Cabling, Network, and Server/Storage hardware) experience and thermal concept knowledge. Printed circuit development with schematics and component selection. Thermal management and energy efficiency using low power system development.
