Sewing Machine Operator III- ASH Reports to: Sr. Sewing Supervisor Supervises: N/A Summary Statement: The person in this position operates various machines used in industrial sewing following established work and safety procedures. Essential Job Functions Check all safety devices, assuring they are in place and in working order prior to operating the machine.Prior to sewing, inspect and repair any operations incorrectly done, including unacceptable stitches on materials provided to you. Thread machine and change bobbin as needed. Retrieve/distribute materials as needed. Operate various automatic machines which may include:

Single needle operations Double needle operations Two-step automatic machines Bartack operations Serger operations

Non-Essential Job Functions Attend training and meetings as scheduled. Perform other duties as apparent or assigned. Qualifications

Working Conditions Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Must be able to follow verbal instructions. Must have the dexterity to operate various industrial sewing machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Must consistently meet production and quality standards of a Level III operator.Must consistently exceed production and quality standards of a Level II operator. Education and Work Experience Prior experience operating single and double needle machines Consistently meet production and quality standards of a Level II operator.
