Accounting Specialist
Location: Athens, GA, United States
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviewing and submitting all inventories Meat, Packaging, Ingredients and HIBE
Comparing and balancing our two production systems
Reconciling the production day for both plants and researching/resolving any and all discrepancies
Reviewing orders/returns and posting poundage to ensure our systems match to shipments, inbounds and inventories reported
Reconciling and producing all API inventories and Orders
Communication with Operations, Plant Team and Accounting Team Members to report accurate information efficiently and timely
Backing up for other areas and departments as needed
Other duties as required by management and supervision
Performing internal Audits every Quarter and as needed throughout the year This does happen on a weekend
Reconciling, researching and confirming all inventoried not only within the plant but every freezer location as well
Will need to rotate and cover all clerk positions including but not limited to payroll and live processing
Help and assist manager and supervisor in any tasks needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years clerical accounting experience preferred
Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Must be able to examine and verify financial documents and reports
Must be able to prepare a variety of reports and analyses
Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system, Excel and Microsoft
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, methods and equipment
Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices
Must be able to work well under pressure, multi-task and work with large groups of Team Members
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree preferred
