Practice Details 

 

Northside Otology is a medical and surgical practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss, ear disease, skull base tumors, and balance disorders for both adults and children. Our team of board-certified physicians and audiologists are committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Our practice is also experienced with implantable devices that may improve your hearing such as cochlear implants or bone anchored hearing implants, if those are the right implants for you. Responsibilities:
Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.  Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting.  Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.  Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

 

Qualifications:
REQUIRED

High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.

Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

PREFERRED

Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.

One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.

Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.

Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
