Sr. Full Stack Developer 

Contract/Contract to Hire

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

2+ years of hands-on experience in software development using Java, Full-Stack, C#, .NET, and/or Python.

Strong experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.

Familiarity with SonarQube, JUnit, Spring Boot.

Proficient in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.

Experience virtualizing services for test automation using tools like WireMock, Mockito.

Automation-focused mindset with experience using Postman, REST Assured, Cypress, ReadyAPI, etc.

Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and CircleCI.

Extensive hands-on experience in AWS Cloud and serverless architectures, including services such as:

ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, SQS/SNS, SageMaker, Athena.

Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web service development.

Agile development experience with tools like VersionOne or Agility.

Proven ability to translate business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions.

Skilled in system integration, performance optimization, and data integrity assurance.

Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Adaptable and eager to embrace new challenges and technologies outside of core comfort zone.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant technical experience.

Experience generating test reports with tools like Cucumber Reports, Extent Reports.

Familiarity with OpenShift and Message Queue (MQ) technologies.

AWS Certification highly desirable.

Background in DevOps, test/build/deploy automation.

Experience in the airline industry a strong plus.

Working knowledge of Windows Server and HP-UX operating systems.

 

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain efficient software applications using Java, C#, Python, .NET, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Maintain and enhance on-premise and internal PaaS applications, transitioning them to AWS per project roadmap.

Contribute to the design and implementation of serverless and containerized architecture patterns.

Build secure, scalable APIs and define routing, connectivity protocols, and policies.

Architect solutions optimized for SLA performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

Anticipate and plan for future system impacts of current technical decisions.

Promote a culture of engineering excellence through TDD/BDD, automation, CI/CD practices.

Monitor application performance and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost.

Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards from early development stages.

Identify and reduce technical debt proactively.

Participate actively in Agile development ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.

Lead and participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Create and maintain clear documentation and operational playbooks.

Analyze and communicate trade-offs between usability and performance.

Administer patches and upgrades for products in production.

Support production systems and assist team members with troubleshooting and maintenance.

Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
