Responsibilities:
When your actions lead to success:
Support Marketing and Sales on projects that align with the company initiatives and goals.
Manage/assist in new material qualifications (resins, etc).
Support new packaging material qualifications, manufacturing support and competitive analysis.
Lead/support scale up activities of new products in TC Transcontinental Packaging locations as well as customer manufacturing plants.
Provide design criteria to OEM’s of converting equipment to produce new packaging materials.
Provide structure and process recommendations to produce new packaging materials for customer bids/awards.
Coordination of production machine trials, while providing technical support of new capital equipment installations in TC Transcontinental Packaging and customer facilities.
Provide creative problem solving and trial plan designs.
Creation of Developmental Specifications for new packaging films that will be manufactured by TC Transcontinental Packaging.
Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
When your expertise drives us:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent STEM degree required.
Recent University Graduate or 2-5 years' industry experience developing new product innovations, commercializing new packaging film products or materials, preferably in flexible packaging industry.
Coextruded film formulation experience
A good ability to question data and unexpected outcomes.
Project management experience
Detail oriented with advanced organizational skills.
Proven strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Possesses the personal maturity, business acumen, and critical-thinking skills to be able to align senior management around a technology roadmap for the business.
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a strong results-oriented mindset and willingness to drive change
Willingness to travel up to 30%
