Sr. Applications Developer Data Engineer

Remote Position

8+Month Contract

Client is s eeking a Sr. Applications Developer Data Engineer to support data integration, transformation, and conversion processes for Salesforce and Profours systems. This role involves building scalable data pipelines, maintaining data reliability, and ensuring accurate data conversion to meet business and technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Salesforce and Profours.

Ensure performance, availability, and reliability of data systems and cloud platforms.

Implement monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

Work with developers, product managers, and business users to gather data requirements and develop solutions.

Identify and implement improvements to data pipelines and infrastructure.

Identify data items and their attributes for conversion; create/update and populate data templates.

Create, update, and modify data load steps; perform mock data loads in development.

Interact daily with business units to understand processes and resolve data-related issues.

Develop automation scripts to streamline data processing.

Monitor and troubleshoot data issues; identify data gaps.

Prepare and analyze data conversion requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role.

Proven experience with Salesforce data structures, API integration, Data Loader, Workbench, and reporting tools.

Familiarity with ETL tools and ELT frameworks for Salesforce-related transformations.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Proficient in SQL and Python; experience with Java or Scala is a plus.

Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing solutions.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.

Understanding of data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices.

Familiar with software engineering practices including version control and testing.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, escalate issues, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Understanding of manufacturing or supply chain processes preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Salesforce Certified Data Architect or Salesforce Administrator certifications.

Certifications in Data Architecture, Cloud Computing, or Database Management.

Experience with big data technologies and AI-driven data solutions.
