Job Title: Enterprise Architect
Job Location: Atlanta, GA
Workplace Type: Hybrid (onsite as needed, no set schedule)
Workplace Schedule: Monday through Friday
Job Summary:
The Enterprise Architect is a crucial member of the Enterprise Architecture team, responsible for designing and implementing robust IT architecture solutions that support the organization's mission and strategic goals. This role works closely with the Executive Director of Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with overall business strategies.
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining architecture models that align with business objectives and IT strategy. This includes evaluating and integrating new technologies into the existing architecture to ensure interoperability, scalability, and long-term value. The role also involves establishing and enforcing architectural standards and best practices across IT initiatives.
Working in close collaboration with IT and business teams, the Enterprise Architect provides architectural guidance and ensures that solutions meet stakeholder needs. The role also includes maintaining comprehensive documentation such as diagrams, standards, and guidelines and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the IT architecture. This position requires a proactive approach to risk management and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Define architecture designs for enterprise-wide solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical due diligence for new projects and initiatives
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, principles, and best practices to support business goals
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement with peers and partner teams
Document and communicate architecture designs, decisions, and roadmaps effectively
Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field required
Master's in Information Technology or related field preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering or software architecture
Proven experience breaking down large business problem statements into scalable, actionable technical solutions
Expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and cloud-native architecture
Strong background in microservices, API management, DevOps, and containerization technologies
Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration strategies
Experience leading project or product management initiatives
Preferred Experience:
Experience with healthcare platforms or regulated industry environments
Required Minimum Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align technology with business strategy
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
In-depth understanding of IT security principles, data governance, and regulatory compliance
Knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential impact on enterprise environments
Familiarity with AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain technologies
