Accounts Receivable Manager, Alpharetta

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to support financial operations for a long-term contract assignment based in Alpharetta, Georgia. This role focuses on overseeing receivables activity, improving cash flow visibility, and ensuring timely billing, payment application, and commercial collections processes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with AR operations, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions with accuracy and consistency. Responsibilities: - Oversee daily accounts receivable activities to maintain accurate customer balances and support healthy cash flow. - Manage the application of incoming payments and resolve discrepancies to ensure receipts are posted correctly and promptly. - Lead commercial collections efforts by following up on outstanding invoices and working with customers to secure timely payment. - Coordinate billing operations, including invoice review and issue resolution, to promote accuracy and on-time distribution. - Monitor cash activity and reconcile receivable records against payment and account data. - Prepare recurring reports on aging, collections performance, and outstanding balances to support financial decision-making. - Use Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel to track receivables, analyze trends, and maintain organized financial records. - Partner with internal teams to investigate account issues, address payment concerns, and improve overall AR efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience managing accounts receivable processes in a business environment. - Strong background in cash applications, billing support, and commercial collections. - Ability to review cash activity and reconcile account discrepancies with a high level of accuracy. - Hands-on experience using Sage Intacct for receivables or related accounting functions. - Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management. - Strong communication skills with the ability to follow up professionally on outstanding accounts. - Detail-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
