Equipment Operator I
The Equipment Operator I is primarily responsible for providing entry-level support and labor for the daily conditioning of the golf course. This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA. Job Responsibilities
Provides labor and support for a variety of entry level golf course conditioning functions to include but not limited to hand raking, push rotary, and fly mowing, laying sod, shoveling, range care, greens check, debris care, second cut mowing, cooler care, topdressing and hand watering. All duties must be performed in a safe and efficient manner, and in a manner that does not disrupt golfers.Performs basic equipment maintenance functions daily to include but not limited to checking critical fluid levels, air pressure, and monitoring for leaks in equipment. Reports malfunctioning equipment and/or equipment maintenance needs in accordance with established procedures. Performs daily equipment cleaning activities, including but not limited to blowing off and washing equipment in accordance with established procedures.Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times on the golf course grounds, within the grounds maintenance facility, and throughout all related work areas. Proposes improvement ideas to enhance work environment, operations, efficiency, and/or streamline work processes to a member of the golf course leadership team.Reports unsafe conditions and situations that warrant attention to a member of the golf course leadership team immediately or as soon as is practical. Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an important part of the job. Physical demands are outlined immediately below. Physical Demands
Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, operate a computer, or drive a golf cart or utility vehicle. Constantly required to use arms, hands, and fingers, to handle or lift items up to 50 pounds. Constantly required to stand and walk, talk, and hear.Constantly required to use vision to perform an activity such as but not limited to accuracy, neatness, attention to detail, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes: Effective communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented work environment High attention for detail Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment preferred Relative Experience/Education: Zero to two years' grounds maintenance or basic landscaping experience on a golf course, or in a related fieldHigh school diploma or equivalent Required License(s): Possess a valid driver's license and/or successfully completes the Club's internal motor vehicle training program Projected Work Schedule: Must be available for a varying work schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.Work Authorization&Sponsorship: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
