Facility Maintenance, Mooresville

POSITION PURPOSE

Maintain the general facility including buildings and grounds. Building components include HVAC units, lighting, air compressors, plumbing, pest control, electrical, and mechanical.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Perform all preventive maintenance and clean up to buildings and grounds except those which are contracted on a formal schedule.
• Perform repair and installation of office lighting, office furniture and electrical circuits.
• Maintain Compounding Area piping and operating equipment.
• Perform general repair and maintenance of:
• Plumbing
• Roofs
• Air compressors
• HVAC units
• Boilers
• Fire systems
• Perform minor office construction as required.
• Obtain vendor quotations, issue purchase requisitions and provide vendor supervision as required.
• Perform required safety inspections.
• Perform job duties to appropriate SOPs, IDEM requirements, and Safety Data Sheets.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Include minimum qualifications for formal training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or working experience. Identify the level of knowledge; skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required to perform the essential job responsibilities and duties competently.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC, and Air Compressors. Pump repair and welding helpful.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

2-5 years? experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate with and direct contractors to properly complete tasks. Support facilities and plant infrastructure. Good understanding of mechanical systems, as well as electrical and electronic systems related to pumps, motors, HVAC units, air compressors, etc. Good working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, pumps, mixers, and general mechanical system repairs.

Pay: From $22.55 per hour
