Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Texas

Job Summary:

As a Senior Oracle Developer you will perform advanced analysis involving supporting, improving, and enhancing the database and reports for a large project.

This position requires strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedures, along with extensive experience in integrating databases with Java applications.

The worker will also devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, manage project scope, and provide ongoing updates on project status.

The worker will also need to exhibit a high level of skill in data aggregation and analysis.

This position works for section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology Statewide Education Data System).

Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases.

This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of Texas's 1200 school districts.

Responsibilities:

Database and Jasper Reports Development.

Documentation.

Bugs: Core and PEIMS projects.

Dev/Unit Testing.

Participate in Agile development.

Minimum Requirements:

10+ years of experience in designing, coding and supporting using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

10+ years of experience of integrating Database with Java applications.

8+ years in to Unit Testing.

8+ years in Agile.
