The Texas Law Alumni Relations and Development department serves to foster a lifelong community among its 27,000+ members, supporting the school's mission through fundraising, engagement, and networking.
Key purposes include raising funds for scholarships and programs, organizing events like reunions and regional meetings, strengthening student-alumni mentorship, and enhancing the school's reputation and prestige.
Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the Alumni Relations and Development team through administrative and operational assistance
Responsibilities:
Front desk support Greet alumni with a professional demeanor
Mailing and shipping support
General clerical tasks and data entry
Other office, events, and development duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate student
Meet minimum eligibility requirements for student employment
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work for entire ***** academic year
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous customer service experience
Knowledge and/or experience with UT policies and procedures and VIP database
Salary Range: $17 per hour
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment
Repetitive use of a keyboard
Work may be performed at the Law School or off-campus for events.
Evening or weekend hours may be required
Work Schedule:
Arrive on time for work and maintain a reliable attendance record
Must be available to work at least 10 hours per week, preferably in 3+ hour shifts
Must be available to work on Thursdays
Position begins on August 17, ****
Most work can be completed independently on a schedule that the employee determines with oversight and direction regarding deadlines and deliverables
Work may be scheduled flexibly during core business hours of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Must be available to work at signature events.
Dates include September 18, October 2, November 21, ****, January 12, and April *****, ****
Eligible for rehire for next semester based on performance
