Description
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Painter sprays surfaces of manufactured products with protective material such as thinner based or water-based paint by performing the following duties.
state of the art air conditioned facility in Phoenix.
Industrial or Automotive painter needed for a 1st shift M-Th opportunity with overtime on Friday 6am-4:30pm
able to use HVLP paint gun and familiary with a pressure pot
some sanding & grinding
Prior experience is needed and you will be given a spray test
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Select proper color and assure that paint is properly mixed.
• Operate manual paint pumps for special colors or small batch operation.
• Paint oversize material in manual spray booth, including power washing and drying.
• Clean spraying equipment with solvent.
• Maintain the paint exhaust filter system.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• Prior powder coat painting experience strongly preferred.
• Physical requirements include: regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds when turning parts over, dependent on the part being painted.
• Employee must wear OSHA approved safety shoes, safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection and painters' suit.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
