Paving Screed Operator, Tolleson

A Paving Screed Operator operates the screed on an asphalt paving crew to ensure a smooth, even pavement surface that meets required grade, thickness, and quality standards.

Operate and control the screed to level and smooth asphalt

Adjust screed height, angle, and width as needed

Monitor asphalt flow and surface quality during paving

Perform basic equipment checks, cleaning, and maintenance

Work closely with the paving crew to maintain safe and efficient operations

Follow safety rules and project specifications

Requirements

2 Years Experience in Mainline

Experience operating paving or heavy construction equipment preferred

Ability to work outdoors in hot and physically demanding conditions

Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

Valid driver’s license (clean driving record)

Able to travel and work flexible hours as required

Must pass drug testing

Clean CDL A
