Job Description
This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. You will work hands-on across multiple trades, performing both corrective and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and prevent equipment or facility deterioration.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system issues on a wide range of machinery and equipment, determining the root cause of failures and selecting appropriate repair methods.
- Remove defective parts and repair or replace components using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and other appropriate equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspecting motors, belts, drives, fluid levels, filters, and other critical components to prevent breakdowns.
- Assemble, install, and repair electrical wiring, electronic components, plumbing systems, pipe systems, machinery, and mechanical equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and systems to identify malfunctions using precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pneumatics, HVAC systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and other industrial systems to restore equipment to proper operation.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain moving parts such as gears, bearings, and shafts to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment life.
- Record maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, repair types, and associated costs, to support operational tracking and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to minimize equipment downtime and coordinate maintenance activities around production schedules.
- Follow all safety procedures and best practices while performing maintenance tasks, ensuring a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area.
- At least 10 years of maintenance technician experience in an industrial or similar environment.
- Strong proficiency with machines, tools, and repair techniques used in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of production processes and quality control methods relevant to industrial equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with engineering principles and practical technology applications in a maintenance context.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on motors, belts, drives, fluid systems, and filters.
- Ability to assemble, install, and repair electrical wiring, electronic components, plumbing systems, pipe systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using precision measuring instruments and testing devices.
- Hands-on experience with pneumatics, HVAC systems, PLC troubleshooting, and industrial maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance records.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in an industrial maintenance environment with exposure to a variety of machinery and building systems.
- Comfort using hoists, cranes, and other lifting equipment to remove or install heavy components safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills to document work clearly and coordinate with other departments.
- Adaptability to learn new technologies, equipment, and maintenance techniques as needed.

Work Environment
This position follows an A Crew, A-Shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime available every day. You will work in an industrial environment around machinery, equipment, and building systems, performing hands-on maintenance tasks using tools, testing devices, hoists, and cranes. The role requires working safely around moving equipment and mechanical and electrical systems, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to all safety procedures and facility guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
