Systems Administrator, Senior Advisor, Severn

Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in the Fort Meade, MD / Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our dynamic team delivers information security solutions that facilitate secure data flows and the detection/prevention of unauthorized behaviors, performs system security vulnerability assessments and solutions development, and provides enterprise-level network, server, desktop, and application security services.

Responsibilities may include: 

Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware 

Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 

Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

A minimum of 15 years’ experience as a System Administrator on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a BS degree.

Demonstrated experience in Linux environments is required. Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Must have experience with Bricata.

DOD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required.

Experience in leading a technical team (system administrators, ISSEs, etc).

Ability to review mission performance to ensure proper execution of the mission. Must be able to analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.

Extensive collaboration with project personnel and partner/customer groups is required – strong communications skills are a must.

Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

 

Preferred Requirements: 

Experience with AWS Cloud Environments.

Target Salary Range:
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
