Route Driver/Delivery Driver
The Route Driver operates a collection vehicle in order to provide removal of the material from multiple customer locations.
Shift Times:
Monday - Friday ***** hour shifts
Saturdays as needed
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
This role involves collecting & inspecting the raw material at the time of pick up, checking for any foreign or hazardous material.
You will provide the customer with a receipt of pick up which contains weight of product and signature of management at location.
You will maintain the company vehicle you use, maintaining it in cleanest possible manner, and operating it in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
You may be required to maintain a DOT log book.
Maintaining excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times is part of this role.
Will need to follow all of our Company safety procedures and guidelines.
Other duties may be assigned by management as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Due to DOT regulations and nature of the work, candidates need to be at least 21 years old.
We require candidates to have a CDL Class A license due to the type of work and DOT requirements.
Per DOT requirements, candidates need to also be registered on clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov.
Must be able to operate a manual vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
Due to the nature of working on a route, having prior route experience within a customer-oriented environment would be preferred.
Being familiar with the equipment you are using and being able to do a thorough pre-trip and post trip of the equipment would be preferred.
In this position, candidate will need to be able to use basic math and writing skills.
Having an understanding of traffic laws along with DOT regulations related to the commercial vehicle you are operating would be an advantage.
