Grand St., Monroe, Louisiana 71202 The Office of Juvenile Justice is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Repairer 2 who takes pride in keeping facilities safe, functional, and looking their best. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Perform general building, equipment, and facility repairs , including basic electrical, carpentry, automotive, and appliance work. Inspect equipment, identify repair needs, and assist with welding, blueprint reading, and field repair techniques. Operate heavy-duty vehicles and specialized equipment essential to campus operations. Replace parts, make adjustments, and ensure systems and equipment function properly. Maintain campus grounds, including lawn care, landscaping, and safe use of chemical products. Perform custodial and sanitation tasks to keep facilities clean and safe. Interact professionally with staff and the public while performing duties. Complete additional assignments as directed by supervisors.
