Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative
Job Description:
Delta Metals is looking for a dependable, organized, customer-focused team member to join our Richmond, MO location.
This role is a key part of our day-to-day customer experience and sales support.
The right person will help customers in person, over the phone, and by email, while also supporting order entry, delivery coordination, and general office sales activity.
We are looking for someone who communicates well, stays organized, follows through, and works well in a fast-paced environment.
Building materials, construction, or metal sales experience is helpful, but we are open to training the right person with strong people skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email
Enter orders accurately using Paradigm software
Provide product information, pricing, and general sales support
Coordinate deliveries and help communicate scheduling needs
Follow up on customer questions and help keep orders moving smoothly
Support day-to-day inside sales and office operations
Work closely with the local team to create a strong customer experience
Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable using computers and learning software systems
Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities throughout the day
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Sales, customer service, office, dispatch, or order-entry experience is helpful
Building materials or construction knowledge is a plus, but not required

Supervisory Responsibility
This role has no supervisory responsibility
Work Environment
This position functions in a fast-paced office environment where attention to detail is a must and the ability to focus on the customer order is critical to avoid error in customer billing or manufacturing of their product.
Physical Demands
This role is largely sedentary spending long hours on the phone and in front of the computer.
Travel
No out of town travel is expected for this position
Required Education and Experience
Fluent in English
Preferred Education and Experience
One-year related experience
Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
Knowledge of Construction Industry
