Job Summary:

We're on the hunt for a Software Development Engineer II with a passion for building innovative applications to join our Alexa+ integrations team. This role revolves around enabling Skill Builders to enhance Alexa's capabilities and enrich user experience on Echo and other Alexa-enabled devices. You'll be at the forefront of utilizing Large Language Models (LLM) to elevate Alexa+, crafting software that operates flawlessly across millions of devices, and propelling Alexa+ into its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop high-quality software that runs seamlessly across Echo family and Alexa-enabled devices using cutting-edge technologies including LLM.

Take a strategic approach to architecture, addressing deficiencies proactively and advocating for significant projects.

Understand the business impact of your systems, making informed technical trade-offs.

Drive engineering best practices across design, quality, and operational excellence.

Foster professional development within the team by sharing knowledge and championing best engineering practices.

Must-Have Skills:

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience using Java and JavaScript

Experience with designing or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.

Experience working with 3rd party developers and dealing with Ambiguity.

Industry Experience:

Previous experience working with Amazon or other eCommerce companies.
