Data Engineer, Washington

Payrate: $75.00 - $85.00/hr.

 

Key job responsibilities:

Design, implement and maintain data infrastructure including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and ongoing maintenance.

Partner with product, operational, and technical teams to build data pipelines from a wide variety of sources using AWS big data technologies (Lake Formation, Glue, S3, MWAA, Lambda, etc.).  

Build a data dictionary, catalog and governance plan and manage and audit all of the registered data via robust mechanisms.  

Work with data consumers to provide and correlate the right data for business intelligence and machine learning use-cases.

Develop automated solutions to minimize manual processes with focus on efficiency and scalability.

Provide guidance on data stewardship for teams onboarding to the central data systems.

 

Must have skills for this role:

Infrastructure as code (preferably AWS CDK/CloudFormation)

Developing and maintaining data lake and data warehouse environments

AWS IAM based access controls

Deploying and managing servers and server-less analytics stacks

Deploying and maintaining a self-hosted Airflow environment

Data pipeline design, implementation, and maintenance

Apache Spark

Pay Transparency:  The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $75.00 - $85.00/hr.  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience and the benefits package you select.  Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.  Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid days off based on tenure, up to 40 hours paid sick time, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
