SUMMARY:
Our client, is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, has an immediate opening for an Energy Associate with 4 to 6 years of experience preferred. They will consider candidates for any of their offices including virtual. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives at commercial contracting, renewable energy development, and complex infrastructure projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft, review, and negotiate project development documents, acquisition agreements, EPC agreements, PPAs/offtake agreements, major equipment supply contracts, long-term O&M or service agreements. and joint ventures. Advise clients on federal&/or state utility regulatory matters, including rate cases, compliance, and environmental permitting. Perform legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in energy markets. Represent clients before state and federal regulatory commissions and agencies. QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have 4-6 years of specialized experience in energy, project development, or finance within a law firm or in-house environment. JD (Juris Doctor) Degree from an ABA accredited Law School Active Bar Membership in Good Standing within the State where Role is Located. Strong understanding of energy regulatory frameworks, energy markets, and/or finance structures.Must be able to demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies&courses of action.
