IS&T PPM&G– Tools and Methods Architect and Lead

The primary objective of the IS&T PPM&G (Lean Portfolio Management)– Smartsheet Architect&Lead is to be the thought leader in the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of a reusable repository of tools, templates, processes, best practices, and methodologies to manage the planning, estimation, and execution of Smartsheet activities across IS&T and Business. You will serve as a trusted solution and technical advisor during the implementation process and provide expertise that ensures successful Smartsheet deployment and adoption. Help shape the direction of the IS&T PPM&G in evangelizing Smartsheet; turning it into a strategic, viable, and supported practice throughout Veolia North America. Guide and mentor team members regarding architecture and best practices Review and coach team on project designs for design review presentations Solve complex technical problems in our tools (Smartsheet, Daptiv, Jira, Confluence, other) environment plus improve "Operational Excellence"Influence technical direction of the group towards creating a comprehensive microservices architecture Create a blueprint and roadmap and lead the teams through an agile process with a hands-on engineering mindset Improve developer experience by recommending and implementing tools for microservices monitoring/profiling/tracingForge strong partnership with vendors to help influence and shape the roadmap Technical Lead for the Ideation and technical development of enterprise solutions to automate and enhance business processes Be a recognized Smartsheet technical expert and develop deep Smartsheet relevance (workflow definition, solution design, etc.) for Portfolio and Project ManagementServe as front-line expert for“best practice” and prospect technical issues, tracking these issues and ensuring prompt follow up and problem resolution Provide daily operational support, sprint planning and execution, and strategic recommendations Maintain and evolve training tools and materials to keep them current with the defined architecture and direction of Veolia North America (Continuous Improvement)Evangelize and train/mentor IS&T and Business partners. Provide development goals, promotion guidance and motivation Work with other technical leaders, architects, QA, and product owners across the organization on technical specifications and solution designs Manage developer change management process, reviewing changes and signing off on any tests before management approval and production releaseExcellent Communications skills required Education / Experience / Background - BS, Computer Science, Management or Equivalent degree or experience 7+ years testing experience in a structured environment utilizing predefined methodologies and/or frameworks as well as automated testing tools Knowledge / Skills / Abilities - Substantial experience creating MS Excel-based solutions for collaboration/workflow/project management requirements in lines-of-business and/or ITStrong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation), with the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical end user personnel in large enterprises Ability to quickly build credibility, as well as understand and resolve technical issues Experience building Enterprise Software and Integrations across multiple functional areasExperience with Agile System Development Methodologies, SDLC, and Waterfall Required Certification / Licenses / Training - PMI-PMP and/or PMI-ACP Certification preferred but not required CSM and/or CSPO preferred but not required ITIL Foundation preferred but not required Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentAbility to work in an office environment Standing or sitting for periods of time Utilization of computer and telecommunication equipment Some travel required
