Therapist - Occupational Therapy Assistant, Oregon

Job Description
Job Summary: Supports licensed Occupational Therapists by providing rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with cognitive or physical functioning disorders.
Assists in implementing personalized therapy plans and monitors patient progress to optimize outcomes.

Administer evidence-based therapeutic procedures such as ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, and assistive device utilization under supervision.
Assess patient progress and communicate findings with supervising Occupational Therapist to modify treatments as needed.
Document all clinical interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately in electronic health records per regulatory standards.
Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members on treatment goals, progress, and discharge planning.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, training sessions, and facility conferences to stay aligned with care protocols.
Support the acquisition of necessary DME or supplies and supervise students under therapist guidance.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Possess at least 1 year of OTA experience, preferably in LTC or SNF settings.
Demonstrate proficiency in clinical documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Active NBCOT certification and adherence to AOTA and State practice acts.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within healthcare teams.
