This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Purpose Of PositionMaximize the sale of Corning Optical Communications (COC) products within the Northwest Territory (WA, OR, AK, ID) to grow the business and ensure success of the company.
Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on delivering network solutions that leverage Corning's comprehensive capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesMeet or exceed sales budgets for all telecommunications products assignedDevelop and execute written territory and/or account plansGenerate new business and maintain existing customer account baseEnsure a balanced mix of sales calls to end users, distributors, contractors, and consultants, as appropriate, and provide ongoing training with these customer segmentsDiligent in documenting activities and reporting results (Salesforce.com)Required QualificationsB.S.
or B.A. degree desired; technical discipline preferred2+ years of sales, marketing, product management or engineering experienceConsultative Communication: Solution selling with the ability to concisely communicate with internal stakeholders and external customersOrganizational Agility: Builds relationships and works effectively within an organizationIndustry product knowledge preferredDesired QualificationsLeverages broad knowledge of our products, solutions and value propositionUnderstands how Corning's solutions provide value to the customerIndependent computer skills with Microsoft Office & Outlook, Salesforce.comAbility to express ideas in writing with clarity and brevityAbility to coordinate multiple activities simultaneouslyOther RequirementsValid driver's licenseTravel required up to 75%Work independently & virtually from a home-based office located in the Northwest Territory in WA, OR, or ID.This position does not support immigration sponsorship.The range for this position is $77,****** - $106,****** assuming full time status.
