Jefferson Elementary School is seeking a reliable and hardworking Assistant Cook for the 2026-2027 school year to support meal preparation and service in our school cafeteria. What You'll Do:

Assist with preparation and serving of meals in the cafeteria

Step in for Head Cook duties when needed

Help clean and maintain kitchen and cafeteria areas

Assist with proper storage and disposal of food

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Support a clean, organized, and safe food service environment

Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and school personnel

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED

Experience with large-scale food preparation preferred

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively

Dependable and able to handle a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment

Awareness of safety, cleanliness, and district policies
