Description
The Maintenance Technician III provides complex technical repairs and preventive maintenance on Bakery equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized systems to minimize downtime. This role troubleshoots issues, performs repairs, installs new parts, executes equipment overhauls, tests repaired equipment, and maintains records in the computerized maintenance system.
Responsibilities:
Conduct all work activities in a safe and acceptable manner
Use Good Manufacturing Procedures in the execution of daily work activities.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on assets
Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Overhaul existing equipment and engage in new equipment installations.
Generate parts requests and follow all required MRO procedures to help ensure adequate inventory.
Daily monitor work order load in queue, execute assigned preventative and corrective work order/tasks as per assigned schedule. Create follow up notifications for identified corrective work still required.
Identify initial priority and update on work orders based on status, inspection, and criticality for follow up. Notify Maintenance planner, Supervisor, or Manager verbally if equipment is at high risk of catastrophic failure.
Perform updates/corrections to work orders promptly as identified and communicated by leadership.
Communicate with planner, parts coordinator if any availability or other part issues occur with materials required to complete work orders. Provide verbal communication on high priority items that place operations/equipment at risk.
Work with parts coordinator to inspect material kit content days in advance of work order scheduled start date to confirm required parts are onsite ready to use.

Qualifications:
High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation, measurement, and control systems, electronics, mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial and manufacturing machinery or 6 years of experience in instrumentation, measurement, and control systems, electronics, mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial and manufacturing machinery. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
4 or more years experience in industrial maintenance environment troubleshooting PLC software, I/O, and field devices and working with mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems preferred
Experience in three of the following skills: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing process controls.
Knowledge of equipment set-up, functionality, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
Able to handle multiple tasks with the capability of prioritizing and planning work activities.
Must have the ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation and vendor-supplied documents including Process & Instrument Drawings (PID), electrical single line drawings, instrument loop drawings, electrical cable, routing and termination, mechanical diagrams and machine layout drawings.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must also adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line.
