About the Role
Join the team at our BRAND NEW, state-of-the-art dry-cleaning facility in Mankato! We are a woman-owned business dedicated to providing a clean, fun, and flexible work environment.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress and or Tailor to provide high-quality alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, from everyday casual wear to formal attire. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and wants to work in a modern, supportive, and community-focused local business.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform garment alterations, including hemming, resizing, and tapering pants, skirts, and dresses.
• Execute expert repairs, such as replacing zippers, sewing buttons, fixing tears, and patching denim.
• Conduct fittings with customers to determine necessary adjustments and provide professional advice on garment fit.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines for various fabric types.
• Ensure all work meets our quality standards and is completed within the promised turnaround time.
• Collaborate with the counter staff to manage work orders and customer special requests.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in professional sewing or alterations.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and stitching techniques.
• Ability to work with a wide range of materials, including delicate silks, heavy wools, and synthetics.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers during fittings.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
