Not to mention our commitment to eco-friendly practices and sustainable materials ("smart" is in our name, after all).We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Bindery Operator for one or more of the following machines: Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Cutter. You'll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This role will handle small format products that require bindery work before they are packed and shipped to the client.Shifts available: Wednesday through Friday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am (Overtime Eligible) A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have: a high school diploma or GED a two-year Technical or Trade School diploma three years' experience as a bindery operator, cutter, folder or booklet makerworked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years worked in a fast-paced mid-size company the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis On top of that you must: possess a thorough and organized approach to your work pay close attention to details on every project have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suitebe self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your work complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards apply effective time management and self-management skills understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer informationbe flexible to change In this position you'll: complete the job successfully and provide a quality product the customer will want to order again run the bindery equipment in a small format capacity run existing bindery equipment and be open to learning how to run new equipment troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are metperform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards perform basic maintenance of the bindery machines complete miscellaneous projects and various tasks as requested by management To get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be: able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
