/ppWhat Youll Do/pulliPerforms electrical maintenance on production equipment while adhering to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)/liliEnsures guards and safety mechanisms are properly installed and functional before returning equipment to service/liliMonitors inventory levels for parts and supplies; places and verifies orders as necessary/liliUtilizes manual and computerized maintenance management systems to track and report equipment status/liliReads and interprets blueprints, manuals, and schematics to identify and resolve equipment issues/liliTroubleshoots and resolves electrical and mechanical issues, escalating unresolved problems to supervisors/liliExecutes breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and changeovers to minimize downtime/liliObserves and diagnoses issues using mechanical devices and precision instruments/liliFabricates replacement parts using standard machine shop tools/liliMaintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety protocols/liliOperates powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable lifting equipment/liliSupports continuous improvement efforts and participates in team-based problem solving/liliComplies with OSHA safety standards, including hazard communication, lockout procedures, and ergonomics/liliPromotes a safety-first culture and adheres to all company policies and procedures/liliPerforms additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/li/ulpWho You Are/pulliMinimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in maintenance/liliHigh school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent training preferred/liliProficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment/liliStrong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electrical systems and PLCs/liliEffective communicator with basic math skills and the ability to read technical documentation/liliDemonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment/liliAbility to pass job-related testing, physical exam, and drug screening/liliTeam-oriented with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset/li/ulpPhysical Abilities/pulliAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds/liliAbility to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift/liliAbility to bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach in all directions/liliOther physical demands as required for the position/li/ulpWhat Youll Get Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
