Description: We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Rail&Transit Group in Boston, MA. We are currently growing our design services and client base to support client and project needs in the Structural/Railroad focus areas. The successful candidate will lead the design of simple and complex fixed bridges, movable bridges and perform bridge inspections with a growing practice.

Responsibilities

* Serve as a Structural Engineer on major projects * Prepare detailed plans and construction documents * Perform structural design calculations and analysis * Develop technical specifications and contract bid documents * Prepare technical reports * Lead site visits for condition inspections * Coordinate across disciplines and work in a team environment* Mentor and train junior staff

Requirements:

* BS in Civil Engineering required * PE License required (MA preferred) * A minimum of eight years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge design (rail experience preferred) * Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design of structural projects * Experience with current FEM modeling software preferred* Local rail client base preferred (MBTA, Amtrak) * Proficient in both verbal and written communications
