Solutions Engineer, Boston, MA

Our client is a high-growth B2B SaaS company in the data platform space. They're hiring a remote Senior Solutions Engineer.

• Partner with two Enterprise AEs to drive a combined $8M annual quota across roughly 25-35 active opportunities
• Lead all technical discovery calls and tailor product demos to the customer's actual data, integrations, and use cases
• Own technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept end-to-end including success criteria, integration assistance, and final readouts
• Respond to security questionnaires, RFPs, and customer architecture reviews with input from product, security, and engineering
• Build and maintain reusable demo environments, scripts, and reference architectures
• Travel up to 25% for high-value customer meetings, conferences, and field events
• Provide structured product feedback to PM and engineering based on patterns across active deals
• Mentor newer SEs and contribute to team documentation, demo libraries, and onboarding materials

• 4+ years of experience in pre-sales Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical pre-sales roles at a B2B SaaS company
• Strong technical foundation: comfortable reading and writing SQL, basic Python, and modern data-platform concepts (data warehouses, ETL/ELT, APIs, integrations)
• Documented pattern of partnering with AEs on enterprise deals ($50K+ ACV)
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills, including the ability to tailor depth to your audience (engineer vs. executive)
• Comfort running technical evaluations and POCs end-to-end including success-criteria definition
• Experience with the data platform / analytics / BI / iPaaS space preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (mostly East Coast)

• Base $140,000-$185,000 plus variable comp targeting an additional 30-40% of base (uncapped)
