Work is primarily onsite at the Government offices with a minimum of two in-office days per week. The County may adjust work locations and schedules as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The Information Security Analyst will not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders. All authority for directing staff and consultants rests with the CIO and CISO.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Qualys, Nessus, Tenable.
Analyze scan results and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
Provide remediation support and coordinate mitigation strategies.
Develop and implement policies and standard operating procedures.
Track remediation efforts to ensure policy compliance.
Stay current on threats, tools, and cybersecurity technologies.
Provide threat intelligence and technical support for incident resolution.
Assist with the implementation of detection techniques and security projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 4 years of experience in IT with a focus on vulnerability management and cybersecurity.
Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, CVA.
Experience with tools: Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Tanium.
Familiarity with Microsoft environments (Active Directory, Defender, SCCM, Teams).
Strong analytical, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.
WORKING HOURS
Core hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Must be available 24/7 for emergencies.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
DURATION
Start Date: July 7, 2025
End Date: February 28, 2028
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
Equivalent practical experience and certifications will be considered.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Primarily office work with long hours at a computer.
High concentration and analytical effort required.
Must be able to respond quickly to cybersecurity incidents in high-pressure situations.
