Bay Ridge Animal Hospital and Annapolis Cat Hospital are hiring a full-time Front-Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. Schedule: This is a full-time position with four 10-hour shifts per week. Two early shifts (8:00 AM6:00 PM), two late shifts (10:00 AM8:00 PM), and rotating Saturday mornings. Occasional shifts from 8 am to 8 pm.Key responsibilities include: Greeting clients and their pets, completing the appointment sign-in process, confirming appointment details, and escorting clients to exam rooms. Ensuring accurate service and product sales accounting, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, and scheduling future appointments.Answering client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Making outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups. Understanding common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior. Assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.Qualifications include: Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.
